In this collaboration between two science fiction giants, Pratchett's warmth and humanity combine with Baxter's vivid imagination. Officer Monica Jansson discovers a prototype device called a Stepper, which allows travel between infinite parallel Earths. Years later, natural stepper Joshua Valienté is recruited by the Black Corporation to explore the far reaches of these worlds, moving further away from the original Earth to uncover the secrets and surprises of the Long Earth. The story follows Joshua as he navigates through the endless variations of untouched landscapes and resources across multiple Earths.
